I had a long drive today from the National Aquatic Centre in the heat. And after two day’s of eating rubbish, with no exercise I said I’d best hop up on the bike and do something.
My legs were dead. But I was not happy with how I’d been eating so I struggled on. Just said I’d do a small cycle, 12k all in, not too bad! Training really starts next week. In 10 weeks, I want to complete 20k in 45 minutes. That’s holding an average of 26km/h. At the moment I’m at 21ish for small cycles. This will not be easy.
